DISCOVERING “THE LEAGUE”
When Khadijah first set out on her influencer journey, her goal was to learn the ins and outs of the influencer marketing industry, to help grow her audience and land brand deals.
The biggest challenge facing Khadjiah was growing her audience, and landing brand deals. Initially, she did not know where to start. To her, being an influencer meant approaching this work as if she were starting a small business. This led her to create a plan.
When creating her plan, Khadijah decided to focus on authenticity as her core value. The game plan was to continue to create quality content, establish a strong hashtag strategy, and engage with her target audience and their content. She also began learning how to properly and effectively pitch to brands. Playing up her strengths as a new nano influencer, and as well as crafting an engaging concept for the brands, along with email etiquette went a long way.
In less than 6 months, Khadijah’s following has grown, and with less than 4K followers, she has been able to secure $1,000 from paid campaigns.
